Marché international Mouscronois

L’I.E.G and Skysun have joined forces to accelerate the energy transition in the municipalities of Mouscron, Comines-Warneton, and Estaimpuis under one name: IEGSUN.

Their first joint project will be the installation of solar panels on the Marché International Mouscronnois. A technical achievement made possible thanks to the architectural solar solution Zinclike, developed and patented by Skysun and Sunsoak (partner architectural firm).

More than 4,000 panels, representing an installation of around 1.7 MWp, will supply green, local electricity to the companies operating within the M.I.M. buildings.

Any surplus production will be redirected to the Les Dauphins Olympic swimming pool in Mouscron through a Virtual Power Purchase Agreement (VPPA).

This project carries major significance, not only for reducing the site’s carbon footprint but also for its European reach and local community impact.
